Welcome new support team member! This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to whitelist a new player.

High-level overview of the procedure (for those needing a refresher):

  1. Find an unclaimed application.
  2. Edit the thread and...
    1. Insert yourself as the user who is reviewing the thread.
    2. Change the thread prefix to Under Review.
  3. Reply to the thread using the Under Review template.
  4. Read the application.
  5. If the application needs changes...
    1. Use the Needs Changes template and describe what changes need to be made.
    2. Change the thread prefix to Needs Changes.
    3. Check back often - changes may come in quickly and the user may ask for clarification.
    4. If the application goes for longer than 7 days without updates, reply to the thread with the Denied template and describe that the time for changes has elapsed and to re-apply with a new application.
    5. Click the Deny button in the original post.
    6. Apply the Denied prefix.
  6. If the application is a troll application...
    1. Reply to the thread with the denied template. Describe the things that are wrong with the application. Be civil about it.
    2. Click the Deny button on the original post.
    3. Apply the Denied prefix.
  7. If the application is good...
    1. Reply to the thread using the Approved template.
    2. Click the Approved button in the original post.
    3. Apply the Approved prefix.
When in doubt, "do what feels right." If you feel that after editing their app that no amount of future edits will result in an app that you can approve, feel free to deny them. If the app is low effort and would need a complete rewrite in order to be accepted, feel free to deny them. If their application isn't quite right but it's really close, feel free to approve them. We trust you to do the right thing, but if you're ever in doubt, feel free to request assistance in the Discord.
